Celtics take a 3-2 lead to LA in the NBA Finals

The NBA Finals took an interesting turn in game five last night as the Boston Celtics took a 3-2 lead in the series as we move to LA for the games six and seven. But after watching last night's game, was it any surprise that the Lakeshow fell a little short of the win?

The only player who did anything of any significance on or off the court for the Los Angeles Lakers was Kobe Bryant. He scored 38 of LA's 86 points, had four assists, and had the only defensive block of the entire game for the Lakers. Not only did the rest of the players not show up to play offense, they didn't even do what they could to defend themselves against Boston. Ron Artest only made 2 of his 9 shots, and he couldn't manage to stop Paul Pierce from scoring 27 points. Lamar Odom also managed to keep his stats in the single digits with 8 points and 8 rebounds.

The question remains whether or not Kobe can carry the Lakers to the championship in LA. Right now, he's falling a little short. Hopefully the rest of his team can get their act together for the final two games and give Kobe the championship he deserves after last night's performance.

Final Score
Boston Celtics: 92
LA Lakers: 86
Next Game: Game 6, Tuesday 9pm EST on ABC (at LA)
