Never Trust a Pretty Girl with an Ugly Secret

Summer's new #1 guilty pleasure? Guilty as charged. I am an ABC Family teen drama series addict and have turned some of my roommates and sister into one as well. The shows that top my list include Greek, Make It Or Break It, The Secret Life of the American Teenager (embarrassingly), and most recently, the brand new hit show Pretty Little Liars, which is currently by far my favorite.

Pretty Little Liars runs on Tuesdays (it premiered on June 8th) at 8pm/7c and is based on a book series written by Sara Shepard. It's described as a "Desperate Housewives for teens", and I'd say that description couldn't be more accurate. Let me give you the ABC Family rundown of the show so I can then tell you about my sister's phenomenal prediction.

"Rosewood is a perfect little town. So quiet and pristine, you'd never guess it holds so many secrets. Some of the ugliest ones belong to the prettiest girls in town -- Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily, four estranged friends whose darkest secrets are about to unravel.

One year ago, Alison, the Queen Bee of their group, disappeared and the girls swore they'd never tell what really happened that night. They thought their secrets would bond them together, but just the opposite is true. Then again, who's to say what the truth is in Rosewood. It seems everyone in town is lying about something.

Now, as the mystery surrounding Alison's disappearance resurfaces, the girls begin getting messages from "A," saying – and threatening – things only Alison would know. But it couldn't be Alison. Could it? Whoever it is, they seem to know all the girls' secrets, and seem to be watching their every move."

We haven't entirely figured out the secret from that summer yet, but before Alison disappeared, we know that the five of them set fire to a garage as a prank gone wrong. A classmate of theirs, Jenna, was in the garage at the time and the fire caused her to go blind. They thought she had transferred to a school for the visually impaired, but she's back and is making sure the four girls know it. Then there's the matter of Toby, Jenna's stepbrother who took the blame for the fire. He knows something they don't about that night, but they can't quite figure out what it is. In the first episode, Alison's body was found by the police buried in her back yard underneath a gazebo that was under construction that summer. Cause of death? Hit in the head, potentially beyond recognition. This was no longer a missing person's investigation; it was a murder case.

So, now for my sister's prediction. It's early on in the show but I think this is definitely a viable guess: Jenna is Alison. Jenna is in a huge building fire and she comes out with no burns whatsoever and goes blind? Not buying it. Jenna also mentioned to the girls that Alison was the only one to visit her in the hospital. Toby's reason for keeping her secret and taking the blame? Alison had something big on him, just like she did with everyone else. As for looks, jawline and hair (minus the color) are identical, and you never see her eyes since Jenna wears sunglasses at all times.

Jenna is the brunette in the middle in the top picture and Alison is the girl in the bottom picture. Same jawline, same facial structure, same curly hair. A brunette makeover would have done the trick. One thing that I thought have that might refute this theory is that her voice would be Alison's, not Jenna's. But then I thought, if you expect your friend to be dead, would you really be listening for it?
Two can keep a secret it one of them's dead.
