Product of the Week: Temptu AIRbrush Makeup System

After a long and exciting 4th of July celebration weekend, I'm back! Hope everyone enjoyed time with their friends, family, and of course, fireworks.

Not skipping a beat, let's kick the 4-day week off with our product of the week.

As I'm sure you know, I frequent Sephora fairly regularly (to the point where I have a specific makeup artist that does all of my makeup trials, no less). One time this past spring, I went in with a friend of mine from school to pick up a few things, and Sephora was debuting a new product described as an "airbrush makeup system". Curious, I asked someone to explain it to me and to try it on me.

As she was finding my shade, she explained the process. The Temptu AIRbrush Makeup System is just that: a makeup that is misted onto you like airbrush via an AIR pod machine. The machine makes it very easy to switch out the makeup pods (which include many shades of foundation, bronzer, blush, and luminizer) so that you can use it for all of your basic facial makeup needs.
When the Sephora consultant showed me a mirror, I was floored. She had used the product on half of my face, blending foundation with a light bronzer and luminizer. The difference between the two sides was astounding. The AIRbrush machine had actually created flawless coverage like I had never seen before. I was obviously hooked.

The actual machine itself (which you need to purchase obviously in order to use the makeup) is $225. A little steep, I know, but I keep telling myself that when I do decide to splurge on it that it will be well worth it. The makeup itself is all averagely priced: blush for $30 and foundation at 2 for $55 (some would even consider that cheaper than designer brands). Another added benefit? Not only does this makeup provide flawless coverage, but it's hypoallergenic and completely mess-free.

If you haven't tried this yet, get to your nearest Sephora ASAP and let them test it out on you. I promise you'll fall in love, and if you have the means, you'll probably purchase the system on the spot. My prediction is that this is the direction all makeup is headed, so if you wait it out, the price of the system will most likely dramatically drop.

In short:
Temptu AIRbrush Makeup System
$225 machine; $30-$55 makeup
