Product(s) of the Week: OPI Swiss Collection for Fall 2010

With August already upon us and the fall fashion season quickly approaching, I thought I'd take a dive into autumn with our product of the week. Tomorrow, OPI is releasing their new collection for Fall 2010. Because the pictures of just the bottles don't ever actually do the colors justice, I've found swatches of all the colors on real nails so you can see what they will actually look like:

The OPI Swiss Collection

 I'm Suzi & I'm a Chocoholic - From A to Z-urich - Color So Hot It Berns

Just a Little Rosti at This - William Tell Me About OPI - Ski Teal We Drop

Diva of Geneva - Lucerne-tainly Look Marvelous - Glitzerland

Yodel Me on My Cell - The Color to Watch - Cucoo for This Color

This collection looks fun and has some great colors, but I'm definitely surprised about a few things. For starters, it has five different pink/red shades, which is fine and they're all great, but the Holiday 2010 collection comes out shortly after this and always has six red shades. Eleven shades in a few month span may be overkill, but I guess we'll see.

Upon looking at just pictures of the bottle, I thought this was going to be a pretty even blend of the Spain and Hong Kong Collections. But after looking at the swatches of polish on nails, I stand corrected. My favorite is Cucoo for This Color, and I really like William Tell Me About OPI, because it reminds me of Lincoln Park After Dark. Color So Hot It Berns is by far my favorite red shade, as I think the other four are all too similar. Either way, it seems like there is something in this collection for everyone and definitely worth checking out.

Like I said earlier, the Swiss Collection will be released in places where OPI is sold tomorrow (August 4th, 2010) for $8.50/bottle. And be sure to look out for the "Irre-Swiss-Ables", a mini 3-bottle set from the Swiss Collection with a top coat included!
