"The Cheese Stands Alone": Green Bay Wins Super Bowl XLV

Brett who?

Let me start off by pointing out that I predicted a Steelers / Packers Super Bowl XLV and a Green Bay win. That's what being born and raised a Packers fan by a bunch of cheeseheads will do to you. The game almost looked like a blowout until Pittsburgh came out the second half and made it a game. But Aaron Rodgers was on a level all his own last night, completely coming out of Brett Favre's shadow. Couldn't be happier with the way this NFL season played out (and neither can my entire family across the country), and I bet right now in Connecticut, my brother is wearing a head of cheese in his office.

[FINAL SCORE -- GB: 31, PIT: 25]

As for the commercials, there were two that really caught my eye (and no, one of them was not the Kim Kardashian commercial that I expected a lot more out of).

In my opinion, the 3rd place commercial was the "Darth Vader" Volkswagon ad:

The runner-up was the Justin Bieber / Ozzy Osbourne ad for Best Buy:

& the Super Bowl XLV Commercial Winner:

Eminem & Chrysler: Imported From Detroit (Extended Version)
"This is the Motor City, and this is what we do."

That commercial literally gave me chills the first time I saw it.
Makes me so proud to be from Detroit.

So now that the Super Bowl is over, baseball season is upon us (MLB and NCAA). I pretty much don't follow baseball at all (unless the Tigers are doing really well), so please don't expect much in the way of those posts. But do expect posts March Madness (complete with my own bracket!) and of course, updates on NCAA Lacrosse.
