Top 5: Favorite Fall Candles

With fall in full swing, my candle obsession has also followed suit. Fall is absolutely my favorite season, and the autumn-scented candles make it that much better. So today, I wanted to share with you my top 5 favorite candles for fall. Some of these I've just discovered and some are classic cult-favorites.

Slatkin & Co. Farmstand Apple
"This sparkling orchard favorite reminds us of a bright sunny day picking apples. Made with notes of McIntosh apple, ripe pear blossom and woodsy oak."

This candle is new this season (although my sister claims it smells identical to Gingham Apple from the Spring 2012 collection), & I don't think I've ever been more obsessed with a candle before. I don't even particularly love apple-scented things, but I cannot get enough of this. I have 2 large 3-wick candles & lots of mini ones. It makes any room you light this candle in smell like fresh apple goodness. There really isn't any spice to it, & I can't smell the "woodsy oak" they describe, but it is an amazing transition candle from summer to fall.

Yankee Candle Home Sweet Home
"A heartwarming blend of cinnamon, baking spices, and a hint of freshly poured tea."

Before I got into Bath & Body Works Candles, Yankee Candles were always tried and true. This is by far my favorite Yankee Candle, and I actually think it was the first one I bought. It is the quintessential fall candle, and carries a subdued cinnamon smell. It's definitely one I will be continuing to light throughout the fall & into winter.
Slatkin & Co. Leaves
"Like an afternoon spent playing in a pile of freshly fallen leaves, this fragrance embodies all the richness of the season
and features a medley of ripe delicious apples, red berries, and golden nectar."

Leaves is a beauty-junkie cult classic. It has changed forms many times (I still have one with a green leaf on the front), but the smell is still the same, great, fall scent. The description describes it perfectly & it's a great one to add to your collection. White Barn (also sold at Bath & Body Works) sells a white-colored Leaves candle that looks more sophisticated sitting on a table and smells the exact same.

Spiced Cider
"Warm and soothing just like the real thing, our delicious, orchard-picked blends joins fresh apples, spiced with nutmeg & cloves."

This is a step closer to fall from Farmstand Apple because it adds cinnamon & spices to the mix. Spiced Cider is a perfect way to describe this candle, and I love burning both this and Farmstand Apple at the same time.
Autumn Wreath
"There's a cheerful fall welcome in the spicy warmth of autumn leaves and cinnamon apples."

I was introduced to this candle by my roommate, who lit it all last fall and actually got me into candles after that. This is the most cinnamon-y of the 5 candles & it makes your whole house smell warm and cozy.

So those are my favorite fall candles this year! What are your favorite candles - am I missing out on any great ones? Leave a comment below & let me know!
