12/12/12 - My Golden Birthday

I wish I could explain to you how many years I've been waiting for this birthday to come. I mean, it's already cool that my birthday is a double number (12/12), but the 12/12/12 factor just makes it golden.

I turned a quarter of a century old today (not a half century or an actual century like my sister left me in a voicemail & tweet, respectively). There was something pretty symbolic about turning 25 on 12/12/12. While I feel a little bit old and I'm officially in my mid-twenties (I liked to pretend 24 was still my early twenties), I also feel like I have so much of my life ahead of me. I've accomplished just about everything I've set out to do. I went to one of the best universities in the world, made some incredible, life-long friends, started writing a blog, moved halfway across the country to a place where I knew no one, and in less than 6 months, I'll be graduating from law school with another great group of people. Not to toot my own horn, but I'd say I had a pretty impressive & successful first quarter-century of life.

But it goes without saying that I wouldn't have gotten even remotely close to where I am today without the love and support of a lot of amazing people in my life. I would be here for ages if I tried to list everyone that has impacted me in a positive way, but just know that I am so thankful for everyone who has. It's because of you that I have the amount of faith in myself that I do. I feel like with all of you standing behind me & by my side, I can achieve just about anything. Cheesy I know, but true. Special shout-outs to my college roommate Tay & current roommate Emily for being two of the most loyal & supportive people on the planet, they're the real deal.

In any event, I am off to celebrate my birthday in style with the help of some beautiful ladies.
Here's to being 25 & having the entire world waiting for you!
