Favorite Drugstore Makeup Products: Eyes & Lips

This is Part II of my favorite drug store makeup products! There are so many categories of makeup products that keeping everything in one post made for a terribly long blog entry that no one would want to sift through. If you missed my post on my favorite drugstore face products, click here. Click after the jump to keep reading about my favorite drugstore eye & lip products!

EYE PRIMER: Maybelline 24-Hour Color Tattoo
The color I use is 'Barely Beige' (the one above is 'Bad to the Bronze' - finding a good picture of Barely Beige was nearly impossible), and it swatches as a very light, champagne cream color. In my opinion, it is a perfect dupe for MAC's paint pot in 'Bare Study'. But I definitely use the other colors as primers if I'm doing an eye look featuring one of the other colors, as it helps the powder eye shadows to really pop. [$5.84 at Target, $6.99 at Ulta]

EYEBROW PENCIL: Revlon Brow Fantasy Pencil
I used this brow pencil up until about 6 months ago when I decided my extremely sparse eyebrows were making me self-conscious and I needed to upgrade to the experts (I now use Anastasia Brow Powder). But this seriously had been my go-to brow pencil for upwards of 5 years and I do still have one in my makeup bag (I wear the color Dark Blonde). I love that it's a duo pencil & brow wax too.  [$6.49 at Target, $7.49 at Ulta]

EYESHADOW: Covergirl Eye Palette in 105 Cafe au Lait
The CoverGirl eyeshadow palette that everyone seems to rave about is 104 'Shimmering Sands', but I happen to like this one a lot better! Both are natural, neutral colors, but this is a slightly cooler palette and it meshes a bit better with my skin tone. With an all-over lid color, crease color, and highlight color, it is the perfect compact to just throw into your makeup bag and is really simple to create an every-day eye look with. [$4.99 at Target, Ulta]

EYELINER: NYX Slide-On Pencil / Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner

This first product is technically a cheat because these aren't actually sold in drug stores, but it's drug store affordable so I'm going with it! These Slide-On pencils are literally almost identical to my holy grail Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencils (even the names are almost the same). They come in about just as many shades and are less than half the price. Golden Olive is my favorite shade by NYX and is almost an exact dupe for Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Stash. If you're looking for a good every day pencil or want to experiment with some fun colors, I highly recommend these. [Not at Target; $7.99 at Ulta]

However, if you are trying to stick to being able to buy everything in a drug store, the Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Liner is fantastic. It's essentially identical in consistency and wear to the Bobbi Brown gel liner, and it comes in a few different colors. I have it in black and love using it as a liquid liner alternative. [$7.99 at Target, $9.99 at Ulta]

MASCARA: Maybelline Illegal Lengths / L'Oreal Power Volume 24 Hour
I'm obviously cheating by choosing 2, but I just couldn't decide & I promise that they are both worth hearing about! I was pleasantly surprised by the Maybelline Illegal Lengths mascara when I first used it. I almost never like Maybelline mascaras (I know, not even The Falsies that everyone swears by), but this one really does lengthen better than any mascara I've ever used. And then there is the L'Oreal Power Volume, which has flown in completely under the radar somehow. This is the best drugstore mascara for seriously voluminous lashes. It's kind of new, but I definitely recommend checking it out. [$5.94 at Target, $8.99 at Ulta / $6.99 at Target, $7.99 at Ulta]

LIPS: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain / Maybelline Baby Lips

As far as drugstore lip products go, I'm fairly confident in saying that Revlon is the best in the business. With the Revlon Lip Butter release last year, and the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains this year (above), they have this category on lock. While I enjoy a good Revlon Lip Butter (I own 3), I by FAR prefer the Revlon Balm Stains. They are the much better version of the Clinque Chubby Sticks and a comparable dupe for the Tarte Lip Stains (they aren't quite as creamy but they are 1/3 of the price!) I own three in various colors and love them all (Crush, pictured above, is my favorite: a deep plum/berry color for fall). [$7.49 at Target, $8.99 at Ulta]

As far as tinted lip balm goes, Maybelline Baby Lips are awesome. I've only tried 3 of the variations, but Cherry Me Baby (above) gives you just the right splash of color while still acting as a lip balm. [$2.99 at Target, $3.99 at Ulta]
