TAG: The Holly Jolly Holiday Tag

Do you start your Christmas shopping on Black Friday or wait until the last minute?
Definitely Black Friday! My sister and I no longer do the midnight shopping (it's a mistake, I promise), but we still go during the day on Black Friday, chaos and all. I found some great deals this year.

If you could be in any Christmas movie what would it be?
Serendipity, and I would be Kate Beckinsale. It is just about the most romantic Christmas movie of all time.

Which do you like better: Christmas Eve or Christmas Day?
I'm a night owl, so Christmas Eve always feels the most festive to me.
Also, Christmas Day just signifies the last day of the holiday season to me, so it makes me a little sad.

When does your family put up your Christmas tree and who decorates it?
We have a fake tree that my dad puts together and strings the lights on, but my mom, sister, and I always decorate it the night of Thanksgiving after we eat dinner. It's our little family tradition.

White lights or colored lights?
White, white, white.

Are you guilty of peeking at your presents or do you like the surprise?
PEEKING. I am the worst with surprises. If you surprise me, you're a genius.

Would you rather live in a gingerbread house or in Santa's Workshop?
Gingerbread house, for sure. Nom, nom nom.

Tell us your Christmas Eve traditions.
This will be the first year in a really long time that I'm not spending it at my Uncle John's house with the Eckl side of the family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. But we will be seeing David Copperfield in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand so, if a tradition has to be broken, we are doing it in style!

What tops your tree?
An angel that my mom has had for ages.

Can you name the 12 days of Christmas?
Yes I can :) but only if I'm singing the song in my head.

Have you ever gone Christmas caroling?
Yep! Our neighborhood used to get all of the kids together and we would go caroling with hot chocolate.

What are some foods and treats you can count on having every holiday season?
Peanut blossom cookies, the holiday trio popcorn tins, and my grandma's meatballs!

What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? I hope you all have an amazing Christmas!
