I ❤ Drug Store Make-Up Tag

In this video, I answer a bunch of questions about some of the best & worst beauty products from the drugstore! The questions & answers are also listed after the jump.

1. What is your favorite drugstore makeup brand?
I'd have to say it's a tie between Revlon & Maybelline. I like a few products from almost every drugstore brand, but I'd say that I wear the most products from Maybelline, with Revlon finishing a close second.

2. What are your favorite face, cheek & lip products?
If you've seen my favorite drug store makeup posts, you already know the answer. But to recap: for face, it's the L'Oreal Magic BB Cream, cheek is the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush, and lips is the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain.

3. Least favorite product?
Maybelline mascaras as a whole are absolutely terrible. They smell weird, they clump, & I just don't understand how there people that swear by them. I have only found one that I like and it's nothing like any of the other Maybelline mascaras. Maybelline Illegal Lengths is awesome & I highly recommend it.

4. What is the best makeup bargain?
No question - the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder! It's perfect for a finishing powder (I put it on over all my makeup after I've sprayed a setting spray), and for the $3.29 price tag, it absolutely can't be beat.

5. What is your favorite underdog product (something you love that often gets overlooked)?
It's not that this often gets overlooked really since it hasn't been around for that long, but the L'Oreal Power Volume 24 Hour Mascara is amazing. I think everyone is really in love with L'Oreal Telescopic and L'Oreal Carbon Black mascaras that it hasn't really taken off like it should, but I promise it's definitely worth purchasing.

6. A drugstore product that is overpriced?
Honestly, it's one of my favorites, but the Revlon Photoready Cream Blush for $12.99 is absolutely ridiculous. As are most drugstore foundations, which is why I end up splurging for a high-end one because the quality improvement is worth the price difference.

7. What are your best drug store dupes?
My favorite dupes are from the NYX Slide-On eyeliners. I can list a whole slew of dupe colors for the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On pencils, & they're less than 1/2 the price.
  • NYX Golden Olive = Urban Decay Stash
  • NYX Jewel = Urban Decay Rockstar
  • NYX Brown Perfection = Urban Decay Demolotion
  • NYX Black Sparkle = Urban Decay Zero
  • NYX Platinum = Urban Decay Dime
  • NYX Jet Black = Urban Decay Perversion
Another fabulous dupe is the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer, which is a much cheaper version of the YSL Touche Eclat concealer pen. If I had the money to spend $40 on the YSL version I probably would, as the packaging is beautiful and I happen to like it a tiny bit better, but because I don't, nothing would justify the $40 price tag when you can get almost the exact same thing for $8 (I wear the shade 'Radiant').

8. Drugstore product that isn't worth the hype?
In my video, I said this was the permanent collection of the Maybelline Color Tattoos  I own several of the limited edition ones and the forumla is fantastic. But I also own about 5 of the ones from the permanent collection and I want to love them, but they are impossible to work with. However, I went out today just to check out if they have reformulated them & we're in luck! They have. They're as fabulous as the limited edition ones, and now I completely endorse them.

Are there any amazing drugstore makeup products that I'm missing out on, or any that I should stay clear of? Let me know in a comment below!
