May 2013 [Beauty & Fashion] Favorites

NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Barrow Street (get it here!)
So in keeping with both my mint & NARS obsessions, this eyeliner brings the double threat. Y'all know how much I love my Larger Than Life eyeliner in Via Veneto (black), so when NARS came out with a mint summer color, I had to have it. It's awesome for adding a pop of color to your eye look or using on your inner corner.

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Cream (get it here!)
Following the amazingness of the Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Salt Spray, this texturizing cream goes on your hair right after you towel dry it (when it's still wet). I love that, because the salt spray needs to go on dry / pool hair, and this gives me an option for waves post-shower.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in No. 6 Pink in Devotion (get it here!)
YSL lip products are by far my favorite, and when they came out with the Rouge Volupte Shine, there was no question I was going to get one. The Volupte Shine is in-between the Sheer Candy and the YSL regular lipsticks. The consistency is more of the sheer candy, but the opacity is a bit darker. And this shade is amazing; I've really been getting into pinks lately & it's perfect!

Bare Minerals Prime Time Primer (get it here!)
I am such a face primer girl (I put it on before I even put on a BB cream) because I think it makes a world of difference for your look. Primers can be really expensive, and I love that this one is a full 1.0 oz (like most are) but for only $23. It works just as well as some of the super high-end ones I've used!

Essie 'First Timer' Nail Polish (get it here!)
I couldn't be more obsessed with this nail polish. I have said before I'm not an Essie girl, but they keep coming out with more and more colors that I have to have. This is definitely one of them, and it actually doesn't chip on me like Essie polishes normally does! I love it.

ZARA Leather Sandal (get them here!)
Emily from Cupcakes & Cashmere instagrammed these shoes (in both nude and black), and as soon as I saw them, I had to have them. They're super sleek and they're incredibly simple and hot (I am even boyfriend approved on these ones). They're also actual leather, which makes them high quality for what you're paying.

Express Portofino Shirt (get it here!)
If I had the money to spend $50/shirt, I would buy this shirt in every single color. It is the perfect button down in every way: sheerness, length, style, sleeves. I'm in love. I have it in white to wear to work, but I am tempted to check out some other fun, bright colors.

BP. Sugar Skull Print Scarf (get it here!)
I've recently started adding scarves to outfits, & I'm definitely not a skull person, but this scarf struck me when I was at Nordstrom. It's really soft and fluffy, and I like the pops of color that it has in the black & white design.

I can't believe we're heading into summer (and it's already summer in the south)! What are some of your May favorites? Anything I need to check out?

  1. I'm obsessed with the Portofino shirt too! I have it in a four colors, but only cause I had a coupon thing and gift cards!

That Essie nail polish is a great color!

    1. OMG I wish I would have found a coupon like that! What other colors do you have?

  2. Love the nail polish. Have you ever tried ELF makeup stuff. It is amazing, and super cheap as well.

    1. I've tried a couple of things, it's definitely super inexpensive / good quality for what you're paying!!
