October 2013 [Beauty & Fashion] Favorites

YSL Youth Liberator Foundation in BR20 (get it here!)
Holy hell. If you have been looking for a product to splurge on as well as the perfect foundation, look no further. This is the most incredible foundation I've ever tried, and I am super picky when it comes to foundation. I've only bought one foundation more than one time because I have never found anything I'm in love with. This foundation gives a flawless medium to full coverage, but it does so without looking like you're actually wearing any makeup. I highly, highly recommend going to your nearest YSL counter and having someone apply it for you. I promise, you'll fall in love immediately.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer (get it here!)
Like foundations, I've never been in love with a primer. Leave it to me to have incredibly expensive taste in both! I've tried a handful of primers, but none beat this one! There is also a version meant for drier skin, but this one is perfect for mine. It makes my foundation (or even a BB cream) look better and last longer.

Tom Ford Beauty Lip Color in Violet Fatale (get it here!)
When I was looking for a new lipstick shade (because I obviously needed one), someone recommended this shade to me. I never would have given it a second look because it looks like legit purple in the tube, but it comes out a very beautiful bright & deep fuchsia color. It's also such a low-maintenance lipstick, you don't even need to apply it with a lip brush! It's a very unique color, so it would be a great one to splurge on.

Stila In The Moment Palette (get it here!)
I've been going through my LORAC Pro Palette way faster than I anticipated (I've hit pan on a few colors already!), so I was looking for a new neutral palette to add to my collection. This one is perfect! I normally would never have looked at Stila for a new palette, but this one got such amazing reviews and it is a perfect combination of mattes, shimmers, and usable neutral colors. It also comes with an incredible creme brown eyeliner pencil that I've really liked. I highly recommend checking this palette out if you've never seen it.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil (get them here!)
69, Venom, Anarchy, Naked 2, Ozone. Yes, I own 5 shades. Yes, they're that amazing. I only used MAC lip pencils before these came out, which are also good but have nothing on the Urban Decay ones. 69 is a cherry red, Venom is a deep plum, Anarchy is a bright pink, Naked 2 is a nude neutral, and Ozone is a clear that I line my lips with to keep the color from bleeding. Every single one of them is perfect for my lipstick shades, I couldn't be happier with them.

Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Perfume (get it here!)
After I got my Peony & Blush Suede perfume from Jo Malone, I couldn't resist testing out new scents & I fell in love with Blackberry & Bay. It's a perfect fall scent, & I actually love layering it with my Peony (incase you aren't familiar with Jo Malone, all of her scents are meant to be layered, mixed, & matched with one another). I love wearing it both alone and layered, & I can't say enough good things about them!

Dior 'Rosy Glow - Petal' Awakening Blush (get it here!)
First of all, this blush looks crazy-intimidating in the package, like a hot, bright pink. However, it doesn't come out like that at all, & there is actually some science and technology behind the color. The color actually adjusts to your skin's chemistry to create the look of naturally flushed cheeks. It's often described as 'your perfect pink' blush shade. It reminds me of a better 'Well Dressed' by MAC blush.

Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil (get it here!)
So my hair gets oily pretty easily, but sometimes it needs a little bit of moisture once it's styled, especially in curls. When I get out of the shower and I know I'm going to be curling my hair, I run it through my towel-dried hair. It's super lightweight and doesn't even feel like I have product in my hair, but it works miracles as far as the finished product on my hair goes! I never recommend hair products like this because I'm so picky, but I highly recommend this one!

Rubbish Flecked Sweater in Kiki Heather Taupe & Kiki Green - Bottle  (get it here!)
I've really been into knit sweaters this fall, pairing them with leggings and riding boots. I like the idea of being able to wear them alone with a big scarf or pairing them with a vest. This sweater comes in a variety of colors with different flecks in them (available at Nordstrom), but these color combinations are by far my favorite one.

Maggy London Sarong Dress in Black (get it here!)
The perfect little black dress! Flattering on all body types (even my weird-ass ex-swimmer body type with crazy-broad shoulders, no curves, and ultra long legs). They recommend going a size up, but I actually fit perfectly into my normal dress size, & I almost considered going a size down. Either way, Nordstrom has free shipping & returns so you can't go wrong!

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Tote with Gusset in Black (limited edition)
The holy grail bag (in my opinion) from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line. It is the most perfect black oversized tote bag ever. It is absolutely enormous on the inside, even though it looks pretty normal from the outside. It's the perfect size and style to carry to work with files in it, while still keeping other purse-related things in it. My 13-inch Macbook Pro also fits in there with a lot of extra room to spare. Had I know that, I might have picked up this bag in taupe too!

Urban Outfitters Knee-High Socks (get them here!)
If you're looking for the perfect "boot socks", look no further! These socks come in a bunch of different colors and are perfect to wear over leggings with riding boots. They also are normally on sale for either 2/$20 or 2/$22 (regularly priced $14). I have 4 pairs in various colors, and I can't recommend them enough!

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Sparkle Sweater in Navy (limited edition)
One of the few clothing items I kept from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line, and it obviously coincides with my fall sweater theme. The quality is very good on the sweater; the material is really thick and the beaded embellishment on the collar doesn't look cheap at all. People complained that it fit a little bit boxy, but that's totally my style with knit sweaters.

What have been some of your favorites this month? I absolutely love fall fashion & makeup!
