How-To: Everyday Makeup Look

So, if any of you follow my Instagram, you know two things: 1) that I've been teaching myself to curl my hair (I'm getting better!) and 2) that in order to showcase this newfound talent, I've been taking a lot of selfies & practicing new makeup looks. Doing makeup is such a fun thing for me to do & I love experimenting with different kinds of looks. Today, I'm going to tell you how I did the makeup look below, an every day look that I tried out!

First, I applied Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer and YSL Youth Liberator Foundation in BR20 to my face with a Sigma F86 foundation brush. I ran Anastasia Brow Powder in Taupe through my eyebrows and set them with Anastasia Brow Gel. I then primed my eyelids with Urban Decay Primer Potion in Greed (it's the concealer shade which really neutralizes any discoloration).

The eyeshadows I used were all part of the LORAC Dazzling Dozen single eyeshadow set. I applied a neutral shimmery shade (LORAC Gleam) all over my lid, a neutral matte brown shade (LORAC Smokin') in my crease, a shimmery plum shade (LORAC Dazzle) in the corner of my crease, and a vanilla matte shade (Au Nautrel) under my brow bone. After, I used a blending brush to get rid of any lines so the colors blended seamlessly. I used NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Veneto on my tightline, and just applied a coat of CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara on my lashes, after curling them with the Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler. Once my eyes were done, I cleaned up & brightened my under-eye area with the Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque.

For the rest of my face, I used a new limited edition MAC Divine Night Mineralize Blush in Lavish Living (a cool, frosty plum shade) on the apples of my cheeks, Diorskin Shimmer Star in Amber Diamond as a highlighter on my cheek bones and down the bridge of my nose, and Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel in Terre Epice to contour the hollows of my cheeks and around my temples. Then I just applied a coat of Tom Ford Lip Color in Indian Rose (a matte pink/neutral shade) on my lips and a clear chapstick over the top (Maybelline's Dr. Rescue Baby Lips). To finish the look, I used the NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder to set my makeup.

I love to try bolder makeup looks but this one is a perfect one for everyday wear. What are some of your favorite products for everyday looks?

    1. Omg Jordon they are amazing. I know that the Dazzling Dozen set is only at ULTA (and only online now I think), but you HAVE to try the LORAC Pro Palette. They have it on sale at ULTA in a set for $39 with the palette, full-sized liner, and primer! (It's originally $42 and only comes with the primer, so it's an amazing deal!) xxxox
