Long-Lasting Professional Makeup Look for Work

The picture below has been a go-to makeup look for me when I'm getting ready for work in the morning. It's pretty easy, not too time consuming, and you still walk out the door looking professional with a look that is going to stay on your face all day. I'm going to tell you the products that I used for this look, but they are all basic enough that almost none of them are product-specific, you can use the closest thing you have to what I used and it will look just as great!
I started with priming my face with the Hourglass Mineral Veil. Primer is an important step not to skip if you're trying to make sure your makeup lasts all day. I then applied my YSL Youth Liberator Foundation in BR20 all over my face (don't forget to apply foundation over your eyelids; gets rid of any discoloration!). I filled in my brows with my Anastasia Brow Powder and set them with the Anastasia Brow Gel. Brows are such a key to framing your face - don't skip this step! If you don't have brow powder, a brown matte shadow that matches your eyebrows will work too.

I used only the Naked Basics palette for my eyeshadow for this look.

I used the lightest and only shimmery shade, Venus, all over my lid with a shader brush, and then I mixed Naked 2 and Faint (both brown matte colors) on a blending brush and ran it through my crease. I blended them out to run seamlessly with the lid color, and added W.O.S., a matte cream shade, underneath my brow bone. Foxy is a good brow bone highlight if you like more yellow highlights and W.O.S. is good if you like more pink ones (like I do). Voila! Done!

I lined my tightline with NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Veneto, and lined my upper lash line with the Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er Precision Pen, which is a felt-tip liquid liner. It is my favorite liquid liner of all time and I highly recommend it, but it is pricey. Any felt tip or liquid liner works! I then applied one coat of Cover Girl Clump Crusher Mascara (but your favorite mascara will work too), and then cleaned up around my eyes and brightened my under-eye area with Bobbi Brown Corrector in Light Bisque.

I applied Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Awakening Blush to the apples of my cheeks. This shade matches chemically to your complexion, but it is a light pink shade (similar to MAC's Well Dressed). I ran Dior Amber Diamond Highlighter across my cheek bones and down the bridge of my nose, and Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzer in Terre Epice in the hollows of my cheeks and around my temples to contour my face.

At the very end, I made sure to set my makeup with Urban Decay's All-Nighter Setting Spray (this is a must for all-day makeup!) and further set it with an illuminating pressed powder (I used NARS Light Reflecting Powder but any one will work). For this look, I didn't apply anything on my lips other than a clear chapstick to make it as maintenance-free throughout the day as possible (I used the Maybelline Dr. Rescue plain chapstick).

That's it! Super simple, takes under 10 minutes to do, and you look professional all day at work.
