90's Kid Tag

Favorite TV Show?
Rugrats, all day, errday.

Favorite Toy?
Tamagotchis were the bomb. I made my parents babysit mine all the time, so it frequently died. I also loved Sky Dancers, but I was constantly flying mine into my sister's head or the wall.

Favorite Commercial?
Seriously, every single 90s toy commercial is amazing (check out RetroJunk's YouTube channel). But I loved Polly Pocket commercials - they seriously made me want every single one.

NSYNC or Backstreet Boys?
I listened to them both (I was one of those, don't hate me). But my boyband crush was Kevin from BSB. I had a poster of him on my ceiling and Backstreet Boys was my first real concert.

Weirdest fashion trend?
Butterfly clips. Stretchy chokers. Holy crap. What were we thinking?

Favorite Collectable?
Beanie babies. Is that even a question? I have bags and bags of them to this day in my attic.

Favorite Beanie Baby?
Blizzard the White Tiger. White tigers are my favorite animal, and he was born on my birthday. I still think that's really cool, judge me.

How many Tamagotchi's did you go through?
Honestly, I don't even remember. I had Tamagotchis, Giga Pets, Nano Pets, all the pets.

Favorite game system & game?
Nintendo64 & Mario Kart. Still, to this day. I think my sister has that tucked away in Kalamazoo somewhere, but we still rock out on occasion.

Favorite Disney channel original movie?
Halloweentown, hands down. I still watch it every Halloween, and I'm 26 years old. But let's not forget that High School Musical started as a Disney channel original movie... so that needs to be mentioned. And so does Motocrossed. Ugh, I'm such a DCOM junkie.

Favorite music artist?
Ace of Base & Spice Girls were my first two (and only) cassette tapes, so I'll go with that.

Favorite Nick Jr. show?
Gullah Gullah Island! Which in retrospect, with the giant frog, was kind of terrifying.

Favorite candy?
Fun dip - where you had the white candy sticks that you licked and dipped into different colored/flavored sugar. Sounds nauseating now but I was obsessed.

Favorite game?
Sardines! It's like a mix of hide & seek and tag, and we played massive games of it at my country club during the summer, causing all kinds of chaos. The staff loved us.

Favorite McDonald's Happy Meal toy?
Teenie Beanie Babies. Duh.

Favorite book?
I was a Nancy Drew / Boxcar Children girl. My propensity for solving crimes started at a young age.

Favorite clothing store?
Didn't 90s girls only shop at Limited Too?

What would you watch when you'd get home from school?
Lots of Doug and Hey Arnold! And if it was Friday, I plopped my butt down to watch the TGIF lineup.
