March 2014 [Beauty & Fashion] Favorites

Hey y'all! Before I get started on my March 2014 Beauty & Fashion Favorites, I just wanted to let y'all know I am going to be taking over The Blog Baton on Instagram today, thanks to Mason Like The Jar. Go check it out [@theblogbaton] & check out Mason's blog for more info on how you can sign up to be a part of it!

Beauty
Anastasia Brow Wiz in Ash Blonde (get it here!)
This is the best pencil for filling in your brows and trying to make it look like they just always look like that. It's very subtle, yet very effective. Anastasia is the queen of brows, so it's no shock that she got this one right.

FAIRYDROPS Scandal Queen Mascara (get it here!)
Jumped on the Asian beauty bandwagon, and this was one of the first things I picked up. It has the craziest looking wand, but it works incredibly. The mascara has a pretty wet formula, so if you like drier formulas you might not like it. It gives my lashes a ton of length while defining them at the same time.

CHANEL Les Beiges Healthy Glow Sheer Color (get it here!)
So Chanel discontinued my favorite bronzer that I have religiously and exclusively used for the last 9 years, so I've had to make a switch to their new edition / formula. It's different, but so far so good. It comes in a wide range of shades so that if you want, you can use it as just a setting powder in the summer.

Bumble & Bumble Pret-A-Powder (get it here!)
Finally. A good, powder, dry shampoo I can take with me travelling. I love my Batiste but it's supposed to fit in your quart-sized bag because it's a spray can & it just takes up a lot of space. This stuff is great as an alternative, and also adds texture if that's what you're looking for.

YSL Gloss Volupte in 207 (get it here!)
I can never turn down a new YSL lip product, so I picked up one of their new glosses in shade 207, which is described as a classic cool red. Per usual, however, these will set you back a little bit for a lip product. It's a great gloss, but it's a splurge.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush in Diffused Heat (get it here!)
Y'all know how much I love the Hourglass Ambient Lighting palette I got over the holidays, and they just came out with blushes in the same formula. I practiced some self restraint and only bought one (shocking, right?), and I got the one that flattered my skin tone the most and had the greatest pigmentation.

Victoria's Secret 'Bombshells in Bloom' Perfume & Lotion (get it here/here!)
My friend Hannah recommended this to me, and I actually never would have tried it if it weren't for her. I pretty much stick to underwear from VS, but this was a great purchase. 'Bombshells in Bloom' is a limited edition spring scent, and I got the body lotion free with my fragrance purchase. The main notes are pink freesia, red apple, and water lily, but as my friend Hannah pointed out, it smells pretty grapefruit-y, which I am definitely powerless before.

Urban Decay Naked Ultra Nourishing Lip Gloss in Beso & Rue34 (get them here!)
My new favorite lip glosses by a mile. There are quite a few shade options in this range, and I picked up Beso which is a plum-ish neutral, and Rue34 which is more on the brown side. The formula is amazing and there is definitely a shade in the range for everyone.

Bite Agave Lip Mask (get it here!)
This brutal winter killed my lips, and I wanted a really thick, luxurious product to put on my lips before I went to bed to soak them in over night. This is more of just a really thick lip treatment than it is a mask since you don't take it off ever, but it's very moisturizing and works like you would expect it to.

B&BW Beautiful Day 2-in-1 Superfruit Body Scrub (get it here!)
Beautiful Day is my favorite B&BW body scent right now, and this super fruit scrub is what I've been using as an exfoliant in the shower. Most of the scents at B&BW have some sort of body scrub, so I recommend trying one in your favorite scent. This one has notes of sun-kissed apple, wild daises, and fresh pink peonies, and is made from pomegranate, blueberry, and cranberry seeds.

NARS Eyeshadow Duo in Kauai (get it here!)
I never really splurge on eyeshadow duos or singles because I have so many palettes, but this duo just caught my eye and got amazing reviews. One side is a shimmery gold, which looks amazing on its own on the lid, and the other side is described as an 'incandescent smokey orchid', although to me it looks a little bit more blue than purple when swatched (I think of orchid as purple). I don't have a dupe for either of these colors in a palette that I own so it was worth it to me.

Fashion
BaubleBar Monarch Wing Collar Necklace (get it here!)
This necklace is by far my favorite out of anything I've written about this month. I get compliments on it every single time I wear it, and I've dubbed it my 'Frozen' necklace, as I always feel like I'm channeling my inner Elsa when I wear it. They have it in two other shades, but this is by far the prettiest.

Michael Kors 'Dylan' Aviators in Golden (get them here!)
I finally found a second pair of aviators that look good on me a year after purchasing my first ones, and what do you know, they are also Michael Kors. I really wanted a pair that you couldn't see through the lenses to my eyes (because obviously hiding your eyes is one of the perks of wearing sunglasses), so I picked up the Michael Kors Dylan aviators with the gold lenses. They have a bunch of different colors if you prefer other ones, but these looked the best on me.

Zella 'Streamline - Live In' Slim Fit Capri Leggings (get them here!)
Zellas are by far my favorite workout leggings, so I grabbed another pair of capri leggings in an awesome heathered blue-gray color. I highly recommend these if you haven't tried them!

That's it for March... any favorites you can recommend to me?

    1. The Anastasia brow whiz is amazing & totally worth it, as are the hourglass blushes. You should definitely go into Sephora and swatch them, although you might end up buying all of them!
