Holy Grail Hair Care Products

Welcome to Part II of my Holy Grail Series! Today's installment: my holy grail, can't-live-without hair products.

LUSH Seanik & Jumping Juniper Shampoo Bars
These have become pretty much the only shampoo that I use now and I don't know that I'll ever go back to regular shampoo. These shampoo bars are amazing. Seanik is made with seaweed and sea salt for extra volume and Jumping Juniper is formulated for oily hair and is a clarifying shampoo. A few sweeps of this on your hair and you're good to go - it will lather like a regular shampoo does. I know shampoo bars are a weird concept, but I promise once you try them, you'll never go back. LUSH also has different formulas for different types of hair, these are just the best for my hair. They are also perfect for traveling; no worrying about trying to fit it inside your quart-sized bag!
Available at & free-standing LUSH stores.

Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Tri-Wheat Leave-In Conditioner
This has replaced me using any conditioner in the shower whatsoever. I wash my hair with one of the shampoo bars, and then use this as a combination detangler and conditioner once I get out of the shower. It makes my hair so silky and soft without weighing it down at all, and a bottle lasts me ages. I haven't used real conditioner in probably 3 years since I started using this, and my hair is as healthy as ever!
Available at, and ULTA stores (not an all-inclusive list of availability).

Kenra Platinum Blow Dry Spray
This is my favorite blow-dry spray, which most of you probably think is an unnecessary step. BUT, not only does this blow-dry spray act as a heat protectant, it cuts my drying time in half, if not more. I usually let my hair dry 80% of the way through before running a blow dryer through it and it speeds up the process so much. Plus, it smells really good, so there's that.
Available at  and ULTA stores (not an all-inclusive list of availability).

Batiste Dry Shampoo
When I say I've tried every dry shampoo there is to try, I mean it. I've tried the cheapest of cheap and some super high-end fancy dry shampoos, and nothing compares to this one. It comes in a bunch of different scents and even a couple that are supposed to be for darker-haired beauties (no white residue), and I just can't say enough about it. I'm not exaggerating when I say I've gone through about 20 cans of this. I will say that in general, powder dry shampoos are probably the most effective in getting all the oil in your hair, but this does the job insanely well and is 10 x easier. And for only $7.99, you can't go wrong.
Available at most drug stores.

Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray
For when I have second (or third...) day hair, and dry shampoo just isn't cutting it, I love to use salt spray to add texture and volume to my hair. I'll spray it all over my hair - roots to ends - and it will make my hair less slippery and have more grip. I will usually throw it in a top knot once I do this, but sometimes I can get away with beachy waves. I also always use this whenever I'm making a sock bun!
Available at Target, and ULTA stores (not an all-inclusive list of availability).
