May 2014 [Beauty & Fashion] Favorites

Beauty
Kiehls Creme de Corps (get it here!)
My new favorite body lotion. Aside from the decently high price point considering it's just lotion, it's amazing. No scent (so if you're sensitive to that, this is perfect), and my arms & legs stay hydrated legitimately all day. To be fair on the price point issue, the 16 oz. bottle lasts me ages.

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet Smooth Effect Foundation (get it here!)
Chanel knocked it out of the park on this one. Being a long time user of the Chanel Vita Lumiere Aqua, I was dying to try this. The packaging is incredibly sleek in all-black and the product is just as amazing. It is similar in coverage to the Vita Lumiere Aqua as far as how heavy the coverage is, but it is a matte finish as opposed to dewy, which works much better with my normal to oily skin. I absolutely love this foundation and have been wearing it every day since I bought it.

Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Quince (get it here!)
Bite Beauty is quickly becoming one of my favorite lip product brands, and this product is no exception. See the lip color in my picture on the left? It's this amazing deep pink shade (and normally I go for reds), and the fact that it's a pencil/crayon makes it so easy to apply. I'm in love. And if you don't like this shade, the formula is so great that it's worth finding a shade you like to snatch up!

Bumble and Bumble Cityswept Finish (get it here!)
I've been using this with the Bumble and Bumble Dryspun Hairspray for extra volume and texture when I wear my hair curled and I love it. I've been rocking the Bumble and Bumble recently, and it's been doing wonderful things for my hair.

First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy (get it here!)
I've been using this under my eyes in place of concealer and I've been really liking the results. It's first and foremost an under-eye treatment but it is also tinted in a concealer color so that it acts as both when you put it on in the morning. It's brightening and I've really been noticing results under my eyes, because it's my biggest facial problem area (damn my genetic dark circles). It's a little pricey, but in my opinion, it's worth it.
Too Faced Melted Liquefied Long Wear Lipstick in Melted Fuchsia (get it here!)
This lip product really hit the ground running and was the talk of the beauty world when it came out. bold lip. It comes in a tube with a felt tip applicator and you squeeze the product out onto the applicator. It goes on completely opaque and matte in bright, bright colors. I picked up fuchsia, which flatters my skin tone way more than expected. I love this product, but it is not for the faint of heart. You have to be ready to rock a

Urban Decay Ink for Eyes (get it here!)
Is it shocking to anyone that Urban Decay came out with an amazing liquid liner pen? It's a deep black & the formula glides on wonderfully. The tip is equally easy to work with. I wouldn't say this beats out the Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er, which is by far my all-time favorite eyeliner, but it is definitely a closer second (& is cheaper by a good margin).

LUSH Breath of Fresh Air Toner (get it here!)
I've been using this for a while and realized that I never talked about it! My usual LUSH toner is the Tea Tree Water which is perfect for oily skin. However, my skin does dry out sometimes, especially after being out in the sun, and this toner is an amazing refresher on your skin. I have a big sized bottle at home and a little one in my office when my skin just needs a pick me up. Pro-tip: store it in your fridge to keep it extra-refreshing!

Fashion
Zella Halo Eclipse Jacket (get it here!)
My favorite Zella purchase thus far and I always get so many compliments when I wear it. It is the perfect lightweight workout jacket. And it's currently on sale at Nordstrom!

Topshop Moto Jamie High Rise Skinny Jeans in Mid Stone (get them here!)
My favorite jeans (obviously) in a lighter color for summer. If you haven't picked up a pair of these jeans by now after I've talked about them for 2 years, I don't know what you're doing with your life. Buy some immediately!

Baublebar Flower Child Pendant
How could I not get another piece from Ashley Madekwe's Guest Bartender collection at BaubleBar? This one is a beauty. Unfortunately, it's completely sold out now, but BaubleBar always has amazing necklaces on their site. As you know, almost every statement necklace I have is from them!

I hope y'all had a great May / great first half of June (sorry this post is so late). Also, be on the lookout for a new series on my blog about my Holy Grail beauty products!

    1. It's worth it, especially if you don't use it every single day (which I don't) and you wear your hair curly like you do!!
