September 2014 Lifestyle Favorites

TV Show: How To Get Away With Murder
Not that there was any doubt, but this is by FAR my new favorite fall show. It's like it was made for me and my criminal-law-working mind. I LOVE it, and of course Viola Davis is a freaking rockstar.

Movie: The September Issue
Not that this is new (or even kind of new), but since it was September, I obviously watched this documentary in preparation for receiving my Vogue September Issue. If you have any interest in fashion, this is an amazing documentary into how the most famous magazine issue of the year gets put together.

Sweet Food: Franklin Cider Mill Donuts
It is officially fall when the Franklin Cider Mill is open... and I've already been twice. I was able to take my little sister Holly when she came to visit (which, let's be real, is the only reason she came). If you live in Michigan and haven't been to the Franklin Cider Mill, I don't know what you're doing with your life. The donuts are the best things in existence.

Restaurant: Kona Grill
My favorite sushi restaurant in the area - I get the sushi sampler (which is a California roll, 3 pieces of Nigiri, and a salad - except I get a seaweed salad instead of a house salad) - all for $12!. Their happy hour is also amazing (hint hint, Jessica).
Book: Private Down Under by James Patterson
The newest in James Patterson's Private series, and I think this has been my favorite of them all. I didn't really like Private: Berlin and I thought Private: LA was better, but still not amazing. This one was awesome. If you like thriller books or James Patterson, this is a must-read.

Starbucks Drink: Triple Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte
I'm such a white girl, and I don't even care. PSL IS BACK (with an extra shot of espresso, of course).

Candle: Tailgate by Bath & Body Works
The perfect fall candle, holy moly. "Capture the fun of tailgating with a blend of cedarwood, sage & a touch of soft musk".

Song: "Ex to See" by Sam Hunt
If you like country (or even if you don't). Download, now.
iPhone/iPad App: LT Connect
I've been at the gym a good amount recently, and I belong to the new Lifetime Athletic in Bloomfield. Lifetime has come out with a new app called LT Connect, which allows you to pair a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor and guides you through heart rate-based cardio workouts. It literally makes doing cardio so much easier, because you don't have to think, and you have your own personal coach. It also makes it go by a lot faster.
