October 2014 Beauty & Fashion Favorites

Urban Decay Naked 2 Basics Palette (get it here!)
I swore to myself that I wouldn't get this but it was just too good. I think I like it better than Urban Decay Naked Basics (the original), but I'm not sure. Either way, if you're looking for the justification, they're different enough to own both.

NARS Audacious Lipstick in Audrey (get it here!)
NARS' new lipstick line is named after iconic starlets throughout the ages, and of course, the one I gravitate to most via the color is named after Audrey Hepburn. It's an amazing deep fall color that I will be wearing as much as possible this season. describes this color as a 'red currant'.

LUSH Mangnificent Soap (get it here!)
The newest LUSH soap scent that I've fallen in love with. The featured ingredient in this soap is mango, mixed with lemon, mandarin, and neroli oil. It smells very citrus-y and very amazing!

Sedu Revolution Clipless Round Curling Iron (get it here!)
I've tried every curling product on the market because I am incapable of curling my own hair, and this thing is fantastic. I got it on during a 50% off sale because it is always, always, always their number one-selling curling tool. I now totally understand why: it gave me the most amazing curls ever that lasted for three days, which is especially insane with my hair. I highly recommend it, even at full price (although you can always find a coupon code for Folica). The picture on the right is my hair curled with the wand!

Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon in Blacquer (get it here!)
I'm not replacing my Marc Jacobs Magic Marc'er with this, but it is a super black gel-like eyeliner pencil that is great for smudging along your lash line (I'm also still loyal to my NARS Larger than Life eyeliner for my tightline).

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Melting Cleanser
(get it here!)
I've never used a melting cleanser before, and it's similar in effect (from what I understand) to the MAC cleanse-off oil. You rub it all over your face, especially around your eyes where your eye makeup is, and it literally dissolves your makeup. You rinse your face after and voila, clean face. The only thing I will say that I don't like about this is that you get a little bit of a film on your eyes afterwards. I like the product enough that it doesn't bother me too much, but it's slightly irritating.

C. Wonder Herringbone Belted Cape (get it here!)
This is my holy grail of fall clothing items. I got it for 70% off thanks to my wonderful little seeeester Holly who works at C. Wonder, but it is worth every penny at full price. LOOK HOW BEAUTIFUL. I can't get over it, clearly. I've gotten so many compliments on it whenever I wear it; I usually pear it with a long-sleeve white shirt, thick black leggings, and riding boots.

Zella 'Heart It' French Terry Sweatshirt (get it here!)
My new favorite lounge outfit in the form of a Zella sweatshirt. It is so soft and comfortable and it is chic enough to wear in public without feeling like you're a total slob. It comes in a bunch of different colors too, but I've only allowed myself to get the dark gray one (thus far at least...).
Sole Society Amina Flats
(get them here!)
Some classic beige and black cap-toed flats to replace my five year-old ones that are falling apart. They definitely need to be broken in, but they are very classic looking and go with just about everything. Plus the fact that Sole Society is now sold at Nordstrom is a huge plus.

Baublebar Stardust Crown Vic Collar (get it here!)
My newest Bauble (it seems like I have one every month...), and it's a little bit Michigan themed! I definitely didn't already have anything like this in my collection, so I totally felt justified in indulging in this (plus I got 30% off during a sale!). It's a lot less chunky looking in person, and it's super unique!
