January 2015 Lifestyle Favorites

TV Show: Melissa & Joey
Ben is going to be so mortified that I'm making this so publicly known (although let's be real, I do not keep my love for MJH a secret). I love Melissa and Joey, and Ben has so much second-hand embarrassment for me. He also finds it personally offensive when I don't want to watch TV with him because I'm watching M&J. My 90's girl heart just cannot get enough.

Movie: NOT Into The Woods
This is the only movie I saw in January and HOLY SHIT was it horrible. I dragged Ben to it and I actually feel bad about it because it was so awful. For me to hate on a Disney movie, you know it must be bad.

Sweet Food: Banana bread
Y'all. I have been NOMMING on some Zingermann's banana bread over the last month. Plum Market (which is similar to Whole Foods in my area) sells it freshly baked and I cannot get enough.

Savory Food: Whole Foods Corn Bread
It's literally $.99 for two pieces of the most amazing corn bread you've ever had in your entire life. Go immediately and pick up some if you have a Whole Foods near you.

Restaurant: Toscana
Ben & I went here when I was in Charlotte over New Years and it was some of the best Italian food I've had. It was a wonderful surprise to not leave the restaurant feeling overly stuffed/full, which I feel like is almost always the case when I leave an Italian restaurant. Definitely go if you're in the Charlotte area!

CandleBlack Tie by Bath & Body Works
This candle is different because it's actually black, which brings a unique look to your nightstand. It's described as having notes of "green sage, sandalwood, and Tonka bean, which is an interesting but pleasant scent.

Book: 'Leaving Time' by Jodi Picoult
Jodi Picoult's newest book is a hit. It's different than a lot of the other books I've read by her and I really enjoyed it. It's rare that I don't see an ending coming, but I didn't with this one. I highly recommend it.

Song: Ed Sheeran - 'Thinking Out Loud'
Ed Sheeran has really grown on me in the last year, and his newest album is my favorite. This is his latest single from it.

Person: My boss, Paul
It is the world's most amazing feeling to have a boss who not only has your best interests at heart, but is really rooting for you to succeed. I feel like I hit the boss lottery with this one, which is saying something (especially since I know he'll never see this). And if he did, he'd probably just tell me to get out of his office.
